Half a Grapefruit

Since 2017

About Us

We are an online publication based in Toronto and St. John’s.

We publish writing from all over Canada on a rolling basis.

How to Submit

Send your writing in a single file to hgfmag.submit@gmail.com with your name and the number of pieces you’re submitting in the subject heading. Your bio should be in third person and no more than one sentence.

There’s no word limit, but please give us something short! No more than one piece over 750 words, and four pieces max under 750 words (ex. one story max / four poems max).

Please include text description for images and/or video submissions. Submissions have to be unpublished (personal blogs are fine). We are a Canadian only publication (you do not need a citizenship to submit).

We give priority to BIPOC writers. If you want to let us know that you are BIPOC, we will extend you that priority.
